Employment Authorization for "Uniting for Ukraine"

A man in a suit

Beginning November 21, 2022, beneficiaries on parole in the United States under the “Uniting for Ukraine” are subject to parole with a work permit.

This means that if you received humanitarian parole in the United States, you can work from day one.

Your Form I-94, Record of Arrival/Departure, with a "UHP" clearance class is acceptable proof of your identity and work permit.

Within 90 days of hire (or in the case of a re-inspection before your work permit expires), you must provide your employer:

  •  a work authorization document (EAD); or
  • SSN without restriction and a document proving your identity.
